MFI offers new farming course

MFI Foundation is now accepting applicants for the “Study-now-pay-later” scheme which will start in June 2010.

Called the BS Entrepreneurial Management (BSEM), major in farm business, the course is offered jointly by MFI Foundation, University of Rizal System Pililla branch and the Management Association of the Philippines at the MFI Foundation residential campus in Jala-jala, Rizal.

The course is a ladderized program with 30 percent dedicated to academic subjects and 70 percent to hands-on training.

The scheme is open to those who belong to the upper 20 percent of the high school graduating class, and with annual family income of not more than R150,000. Applicants must submit a letter expressing interest to participate and abide by the Study-now-pay-later policies and guidelines for the BSEM major in farm business and submit a recommendation letter from the high school principal attesting to the candidate’s good moral character and indicating student performance or rating/ranking in the graduating class, duly accomplished application form (3 copies), National Career Aptitude Exam (NCAE), income tax return (ITR) and other proof of family income or parents’ certificate of tax exemption from the BIR, and four copies of 1”x1” picture.
